In order to reach out to the general public and to create an awareness of the history of the Chinese Overseas, the Centre organises guided group tours for our visitors.
A tour typically consists of a walk through our exhibitions on the Chinese Overseas, ending with a film or documentary on Chinese in different parts of the world. The full tour takes at least one hour and thirty minutes.
Guided by enthusiastic young undergraduates of the Nanyang Technological
University, the Centre’s own curators and soon, members of Friends@CHC , who share our passion in preserving our heritage. Alternatively, visitors can choose to explore the galleries in detail, reflecting on the stories told by each picture.
So far, the Chinese Heritage Centre has received student groups and individuals from Singapore and all over the world.
Part of our community outreach programme, the Chinese Heritage Centre extends its invitation to educational institutes and other associations. Guided tours should be arranged no less than two weeks in advance. The Centre wishes also to limit tours to under 100 visitors at one time to avoid crowding.
Free Admission. Guided tours are chargeable at $3 per adult and $1 for students and senior citizen.
